Overview

Kidz Club is a platform for businesses to promote events to parents looking for something fun and educational to do with their children. Users are businesses, parents, and admins in charge of overseeing quality control.

User Personas

Parents

  • Goal: Easily find relevant events for their kids based on age, interest, and location.

  • Needs: Personalization, filtering, trustworthy vendors, smooth browsing and booking.

Vendors

  • Goal: Claim, manage, and update their event/business listings.

  • Needs: Simple onboarding, calendar management, visibility controls, and info editing.

Admins

  • Goal: Manage all platform content to maintain quality.

  • Needs: Approve/reject vendors, view analytics, edit listings, and manage users.

User Flows & Key Features

For Parents (Main Users)

  • Searchable and sortable events by location, date, age, activity, and category.

  • Personalized results based on number of kids.

  • Easy-to-parse event cards with price, age suitability, and quick map preview.

  • Detailed event pages with description, tags, location map, and RSVP.

  • Easy flows to add events to their calendar or save for later.

For Vendors

  • Flows to claim their business or create a new listing.

  • Seamless onboarding with description, location, photos, pricing, and categories.

  • A place to edit their business, list upcoming events, and control visibility.

  • A simple dashboard to view and manage listings.

For Admins

  • A private admin dashboard with full control.

  • A list of all vendor submissions with approve/reject actions.

  • Capability to remove, edit, or override business and event pages.

  • Easy monitoring of pending claims to ensure content quality across the platform.

Key Design Decisions

  • Playful yet structured visual language: The parent-facing interface uses bright colors, rounded typography, and friendly illustrations to create a fun and approachable feel. In contrast, the vendor and admin views are kept clean and neutral to support clarity, trust, and productivity.

  • Child-based personalization as a core UX pattern: Instead of just browsing general events, parents can select one or multiple kids and filter activities by age, interests, and relevance —making the experience personalized, intentional, and efficient.

  • Sticky filters and quick actions: Filters such as date, type, distance, and age remain visible for seamless refinement. Event cards offer quick interactions like “Add to calendar” or “Save,” reducing the number of clicks needed to make plans.

  • Integrated mapping for easy planning: Events and vendors are presented with embedded map previews, helping parents make decisions faster. Vendors enter their business location directly via a map component during onboarding.

  • Warm, encouraging microcopy: Button text and headings use positive, parent-friendly language like “Pick the Explorers” and “Add to My Calendar" so the platform feels inviting and joyful.

Summary

This project combines playful discovery with professional management. It empowers parents to make happy memories for their kids, event vendors to find attendees, and admins to maintain platform quality.
